CABUYAO CITY dominated Pasig City, 13-6, to retain its title in the National 19 and Under Men’s Softball Championship at the Sto. Niño Softball Field in Marikina City. In their semifinal match, the defending champions had to survive Agoncillo, Batangas, 9-8.

In the battle for third place, Agoncillo, Batangas outclassed Rizal Technological University, who succumbed to Pasig City in their semifinal duel of the tournament presented by Cebuana Lhuillier and sanctioned by the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL).

“I would like to congratulate Cabuyao City for prevailing in this tournament. You have, once again, proved that softball is a flourishing sport in the country. The huge leaps we’ve made in the sport is a testament to how hard everyone has been working. I also congratulate all the other teams who participated, you have brought triumph to your team by playing as diligent and as hard as you can,” said ASAPHIL President and Cebuana Lhuillier President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier.
